3cl / 44.9% / The Perfect Measure
- A sample of part one of a 1990 diptych from Glenallachie, one of the releases in its 50th anniversary collection – the first after the distillery was taken over by industry veteran Billy Walker. The whisky is more elegant than the other sherried entries in the range & is a contrast to its more concentrated sister cask (2517). It's no shrinking violet, with rich nut & toffee notes, but it keeps its sherry influence restrained & moreish, with plump dried fruit & subtle stone fruit notes.
